Normal Skin: How to Care For It

Normal Skin

So you actually have normal skin?

Maybe you’ve been blessed by the universe (we’re not jealous… okay maybe a little bit) and you have one of those skin types that rarely goes dry or oily. While this is certainly not the most common skin type, it definitely is possible! Lucky you!

Despite the fact that having normal skin is the easiest skin type to maintain, we would still recommend implementing a simple skincare routine to avoid the rise of issues in the future.

So consider this routine one that prevents rather than treats.

What Is Normal Skin?

Before we begin, we should probably explain what this blessed skin type is.

Basically, this skin type has no obvious conditions: it’s not excessively oily or dry, and usually presents very well-balanced moisture and sebum levels.

Normal skin is primarily influenced by genetics, and it can change depending on stress and hormone levels, extreme weather conditions, or inadequate hygiene.

So if this sounds like you (again, totally not jealous…) then follow along for this super simple skincare routine!

Normal Skin Routine

To maintain and preserve your normal skin, this routine will ensure that your skin is clear and fresh on the daily.

Morning Skincare Routine

Rise and shine! This morning routine only needs a couple of minutes as it is completed in three simple steps.

Step 1: Cleanse

Even if your skin isn’t excessively oily, you will still experience a build up of substances such as oil, dirt, dry skin, and remnants of makeup. This should all be washed away so that your pores don’t get clogged, which could lead to issues such as acne and blackheads.

A simple purifying cleanser, free from harsh ingredients and jam-packed with natural extracts, will do the trick to clear and smooth your skin.

Step 2: Moisturize

Even if your skin isn’t excessively dry, you will want to maintain your skin’s moisture levels by using a face cream.

A hydrating face cream can be applied as a thin layer over your face and neck for a healthy, radiant finish.

Step 3: SPF

No matter how healthy your skin is, you definitely need to avoid sun damage. Please wear sunscreen!

Night Time Skincare Routine

After a long day of studying or hanging with friends, you’ll want to give your skin a little bit of love.

Step 1: Cleanse

Yep, we’re washing our faces again! After a long day, you’re going to have a build-up of impurities chilling on your face, threatening your perfect pores. Wash ‘em off!

That same purifying cleanser is all you need.

Step 2: Face Mask (if you want)

If you have some extra time to spare, you could totally show your skin some love by putting on a nice face mask.

This will detoxify your skin, clear your face, and is a good way to feel calm and relaxed right before bed!

A face mask with aloe vera will gently soothe and nourish your skin for the perfect end to your day.

Normal Skin Still Needs Love

Despite the fact that you have the skin type that everyone wants (okay we’ll admit it now, we’re super jealous), you still need to give your skin the love it deserves.

This super simple morning and night time routine will help maintain your normal skin, while also preventing the rise of future skin issues.

Here’s to healthy skin!
